Helping kids grow confidence, belief, and purpose — one story at a time

Dream Forward creates thoughtful stories that support children as they build confidence, belief, and a sense of possibility — in their own time and their own way.

Each story introduces simple, practical ideas for life through calm storytelling and gentle reflection, giving children space to think, feel, and grow at their own pace.

Dream Forward isn’t about pushing children to be more.

It’s about helping them trust themselves as they grow.

About Dream Forward

Dream Forward is built on the belief that dreams don’t all look the same — and they don’t need to.

Created by Nat Williams, a proud First Nations woman of Kamilaroi and Gubbi Gubbi descent, Dream Forward draws on lived experience, storytelling, and long-term discipline to explore how confidence, belief, and purpose are built through small, consistent actions.

Having learned firsthand how often dreams are questioned when they don’t fit expectations, Nat created Dream Forward to help children understand that their goals belong to them, that progress doesn’t need to be loud, and that showing up matters more than getting everything right.

Inspired by family, community, and the strong women who came before her, Dream Forward offers a gentle reminder for children and adults alike: wherever you’re starting from, you’re allowed to dream — and you’re allowed to begin.

For Grown-Ups: How to Hold This Story

The Lesson Within the Story

The Little Dream That Wouldn’t Give Up carries a clear and intentional message.

Through gentle storytelling, children are shown that:

  • Dreams are worth listening to

  • Courage is built through small steps

  • effort matters, even when progress is quiet

  • Giving up is not the same as changing direction

  • dreams can grow and change as we do

This lesson is offered through story rather than instruction.

Acknowledgement of Country

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land you are on,
and we thank them for caring for this land for a very long time.

We extend our respect to Elders past, present, and emerging,
and to all First Nations Peoples across Australia.

We thank the trees reaching up to the sky,
the earth beneath our feet,
and the colours around us —
the greens of the leaves,
the blues of the sky,
and the warm browns of the land.

This place holds many stories.

We listen, we learn, and we show respect.

We promise to care for this land,
to be kind to one another,
and to walk gently as we learn and grow together.
